✨ Free workshop with Awen Ensemble ✨
In November 2025, the alternative folk/jazz band Awen Ensemble will release their version of the traditional Welsh folk song ‘Hiraeth’. To accompany the new single, the band will be running a tour of workshops for local musicians, alongside performances in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Bala and Barmouth.
The workshops will offer musicians and members of the community the opportunity to learn Welsh folk songs under the guidance of Emyr Penry Dance, and to experiment with these songs within a jazz style, alongside members of Awen Ensemble. The workshops will be free of charge.
